From Nerissa, the Video Queen (2006) It's worth noting the success of The Secret.The producers have only to date sold their film on DVD and offer a $5 access to the streaming movie online. They have made millions and are scheduled to appear on Oprah at end of January/early February '07. As far as I know they did not enter any film contest. Not that every film is as popular as the message in The Secret, BUT still we can learn from using new digital delivery sytems that have appeared in the last couple years or more.
I have a list of nonexclusive distributor outlets at www.freemediaguide.com (make money button) and recently heard about www.Filmbaby.com . And don't forget about selling your movie on DVD on Amazon.com by using http://www.customflix.com/Index.jsp?ref=140192 . A friend just made $60,000 in sales this month from his first DVD product. And 10% of those were from the nonpublicized Amazon listing.
