Birth of the Indies: Made in Austin, Texas in 1978 for $20k, The Whole Shooting Match inspired Robert Redford to start the Sundance Institute and served as a prototype for later Austin Films such as Kevin Smith's Clerks and Richard Linklater's Slacker.
